The Fletcher Building Employee Education Fund (EEF) is a private trust fund dedicated to enhancing the lives of Fletcher Building employees in New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific Islands.
The focus of the EEF is to provide financial support for education and training initiatives for Fletcher Building employees. The fund aims to prioritise and enable personal and professional growth opportunities for employees through educational endeavours.

Trustee
John is an independent Trustee of The Fletcher Building Employee Educational Fund.
John's career spans 30 years in senior finance, management and board positions at Fletcher Challenge Limited from which he retired in 2002. He has considerable international experience in management, corporate governance best practice and as a director and audit committee member of private and publicly listed companies.
He is also a Trustee of The Tenon Employee Educational Fund.

Trustee
Kylie Eagle was appointed Chief People Officer in November 2024. She joined Fletcher Building in 2021, most recently serving as General Manager, People and Performance for the Construction Division. Prior to this, she was General Manager, People and Performance for the Concrete Division for three years. With 20 years of experience in people and performance roles, Kylie has worked across professional services, property, and telecommunications.
Before joining Fletcher Building, Kylie was General Manager of People and Communications at NZX-listed Kiwi Property Group from 2013 to 2021. She has also held leadership roles as People and Culture Manager at Les Mills International, Head of Culture and Capability at Vodafone, and several key HR positions at Deloitte.
Kylie holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) from Auckland University of Technology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business (Human Resource Management) from The University of Auckland, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Potential for the Digital Economy (Emerging Disruptive Technologies) from academyEX.

Trustee
Rebecca is a partner at Simpson Grierson and leads the firm’s Employment National Practice Group.
Experienced in all aspects of employment law, her expertise includes advising on personal grievance claims, restraints of trade, restructuring, holiday pay compliance and remediation, disciplinary, and performance management processes. She has represented clients in cases before the Employment Relations Authority through to the Court of Appeal.
Rebecca provides advice to clients in a range of sectors, including health, education, local government, banking and finance, building, engineering and manufacturing and forestry. She has further developed her expertise through secondments in the banking and building/construction sectors. Rebecca is also a regular columnist for BusinessDesk on employment related matters.

Fund Manager
Kath has worked with the FB EEF since 2003 and in 2019 took up the responsibility of Fund Manager, working on behalf of the Trustees and the FB EEF beneficiaries. Previously Kath worked in administrative roles with the Building Products Sector of what was then Fletcher Challenge Limited. Kath joined Fletcher Challenge in 1995 and for a number of years also assisted with the coordination of the Fletcher Building in-house events. She is therefore very familiar with the EEF beneficiary base.
